I am Postdoctoral Researcher in the “Tailoring though Colloidal Processing” group in the ICV-CSIC as Dr. in Engineering & Technology from the University of Córdoba and I have the ANECA accreditation for PhD Lecturer.
My research line is devoted to the control of the fast-synthesis in liquid media, for the modification of surface and morphology of nanoparticles, and their inclusion in nanocomposites materials (metallic and ceramic matrix). The research deals with the application of the sono-chemical synthesis to the manufacturing of ceramic semiconductors (NiO, TiO2, ZnO) for electrodes in energy storage and generation devices (ion-Li batteries, supercapacitors, photovoltaic cells, etc.), with particular emphasis in the use of films and coating technologies (such as Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) and spraying) and their electrochemical characterization. The work also involves mesoporosity tailoring by the modification of nanoparticles surfaces by Layer-by-Layer technology and the use of endo-templates such as nanocellulose fibers. In this context, I am supervising a PhD student in the design of nano-architectures with hierarchical porosity fabricated with ceramic semiconductor by colloidal techniques.
