Valentina Sessini is a PhD student of the University of Perugia. The aim of her thesis is to design new nanocomposites based on starch with water- and thermo- responsive shape-memory effects. This progect is developed in collaboration with the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC) and the University of Mons (UMONS) – (Belgium). Valentina Sessini is in possession of her Academic Degree in Materials Science obtained in 2011 at the University of Cagliari, Italy. In 2012-2013 she participated to the Master Course in “Green Chemistry: Chemicals and new materials from renewable sources” at the University of Sassari, Italy. Actually she is participating to the Master Course in High specialization in plastics and rubbers at the International University Menéndez Pelayo (UIMP) and ICTP-CSIC Madrid (Spain).
