She obtained the Degree in Physic in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) on 1996. She earned her Ph.D. Chemistry from the UAM on 2002. She joined, in 2006 the staff of the Institute for Ceramic and Glasses, belonging to the Spanish Research Council (ICV-CSIC). Her expertise covers the experimental and thermodynamic study of oxide and non-oxide systems of interest in the ceramic materials field applied to the design and development of refractory materials for cement and steel industries and bioactive ceramic materials. She is author of more than 25 SCI indexed publication including 1 chapter of a book and has participated in more than 40 congresses and 5 key lectures. She has participated as professor in postgraduate programs of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
