Predoctoral Researcher

Elena Maria Tejado Garrido

Elena Tejado completed her undergraduate studies of Building Engineering and Materials Engineering from Extremadura University in 2007 and 2010, respectively.

In October 2010, she joined the department of Materials Science at the Technical University of Madrid and after obtaining a PhD Studentship Award from the High Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), she is been working on her thesis on the mechanical properties of tungsten based materials at extreme conditions. In the course of her PhD studies, she performed a stay at the Department of Materials Science of the Oxford University (UK).

Her current research areas of interest include materials processing, microstructural evolution, mechanical testing and behaviour, microscopy, and microstructure-property relationships of tungsten based alloys and coatings.
