Doctor in Chemistry (2002), Assistant Professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University. Author over 30 papers in JCR. She has participated in more than 20 competitive projects (in regional, national and international frameworks), being the main researcher in 8 of them.
The main scientific-technical field of interest is light metals for the transport industries. The current research interests are:
- Development and optimisation of new Al alloys, Mg alloys, Al-SiC and Mg-SiC composites processing by semi-solid route, injection, extrusion and casting.
- Modification by laser surface melting of magnesium alloys for the transport industry.
- Thermal spray coatings of aluminum, aluminum alloys, aluminum metal matrix composites, copper, titanium, steel and stainless steel on substrates of different nature (steel, aluminum, magnesium, and epoxy matrix composites) to improve the corrosion resistance, wear behavior and conductivity.
- Biomaterials for implants
