Patricia  Fernández Díaz-Maroto - LMCOMP - Laboratorio de Materiales Compuestos

Patricia Fernández Díaz-Maroto is a doctoral student in Smart Materials and Structural Health Monitoring. She obtained her aeronautical engineering degree from the Polytechnical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, in 2013.
She has worked as structural engineer in Toulouse for the A350 installation systems. She was involved as a researcher in various Airbus projects, such  as ECLIPSE and DESAFIO.
Her main research area is SHM with optical fiber sensors based on distributed measurements. She has collaborated as visiting researcher with the SACL group, in Stanford, and will be working at the JAXA laboratory, in Tokyo, in the near future. She has also attended diverse congresses and seminars as a lecturer (IWSHM, The 6th Symposium for NDT in Aerospace, COMPTEST, MATCOMP15) and is in the organizing committee of the next European Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring EWSHM16.
