CCRM group wins a Horizon 2020

CCRM group wins a Horizon2020 – JTI-CS2-2016-CFP04-ENG-02-05 Call project on Substitution of Chromium(VI)-based substances for corrosion protection of Aluminum- and Magnesium alloys.

CCRM group in a team formed by CIDAUT (Spain), TuDelft (Netherlands), AkzoNobel (Netherlands), HZG (Germany) and Henkel (Germany) will be working on the ALMAGIC project (Aluminium and Magnesium Alloys Green Innovative Coatings) co-funded by the Clean Sky 2 Joint Technology Initiative (CS2 JTI) which is a Public-Private Partnership between the European Commission and industry, with 999,526.25 EUR. ALMAGIC  will be developing environmentally-friendly and performance-equivalent alternatives to Chromic Acid Anodizing and Chromic  Conversion Coatings for Al and Mg alloys in aeronautical applications. The project kicked off on 1st of June 2017 and will last 18 months.
